Principal's Message
Greetings Families,
It is hard to believe we are already to the month of February. Our students and staff have done a fantastic job of transitioning back to the Hybrid Learning Plan. We are so excited and thankful to have students back in the building. We are working hard to ensure safety precautions are taken every day; Hand washing, mask wearing and social distancing are a big priority everyday. The more we do to support these three guidelines, the more likely we are to remain safe and healthy.
Thursday, February 11th was supposed to be our Family Reading Night at school. These events have always been a great way to connect with other Wildcat Families and a wonderful opportunity for your children to show off their Reading skills! Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to rethink this event. Your children will now be celebrating Reading Day in school and bringing home different games/activities to engage in with you at home that evening. This will be a great opportunity to spend time together while also connecting school to home learning. We are busy planning for the Family Reading Night Schedule for Thursday, February 11th. This event will be held in family homes. We will be providing supplies to support this event. See details in the Reading NIght summary.
Remember school starts each day at 8 am and ends at 1:40 pm in the Hybrid Learning plan. Please wait until at least 7:35 am to drop off students. There will be no supervision until that time. After school pick up must be done as close to 1:40 as possible. With COVID safety expectations, we don't want to bring groups of students from different classrooms inside to wait for rides.
As always, should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to to me at 345-3059, sbaier1@isd77.org or call my cell phone at 605-645-8055.
