Teacher, Professional, and Rookie of the Year Awards!

On February 21st, we honored some of our outstanding teachers and support staff for the work they have done this year. The candidates for Teacher of the Year, Professional of the Year, and Rookie of the Year, were nominated by their peers based on the qualities and traits they exhibit every day. This was a difficult decision since we have so many wonderful faculty members!

The finalists for Teacher of the Year were Maria Andres, Robin Estavan, Amanda Mobley, Cathy Moore, and our winner, Ron LeBlanc. The Rookie of the Year was awarded to Gail Crust. Each teacher leads, inspires, and challenges their students every single day. The Professional of the Year was Tracey Brown for her support and dedication to both students and staff in the front office. Congratulations to all of our nominees and winners!

A huge thank you to the TRMS PTA for hosting the awards ceremony! Family, friends, and colleagues were able to celebrate during the reception, making it a very special time for all. We are fortunate to be a part of a community that exemplifies the Taylor Road Way.

CHS PTSA Volunteers Needed!

If you’ve never been involved or are looking for a way to serve at Hooch next school year, PTSA is a super way!

With your student entering into high school, now is a great time to serve by “shadowing” a current position. By “shadowing” this is a great opportunity to “get your feet wet “& aid in the transition for the following school year. We at Hooch have a few members rolling off their chairperson positions at the end of the 2017-18 school year and would love for you to serve.

A few areas to serve in are Communications, Membership, Legislative, Honor Roll recognition & Staff Appreciation. There are many more opportunities to get involved, see the attached form. We cannot offer the programs/ activities to our students without your help. I would encourage you to get involved and have a voice in yours student’s future whatever that capacity might be.
