What is Genital Herpes?
Genital Herpes is a sexually transmitted disease caused by a virus called herpes simplex also known as (HIV)

How is Genital Herpes transmitted?
Genital Herpes is transmitted during oral, vaginal or anal sex
What are symptoms of Genital Herpes?
Some symptoms of Genital Herpes are:
- itching and pain
- sores that appear a few hours later or a few days later
- sore may appear on the vagina, penis, scrotum, buttocks or anus
- watery blisters
- sores heal within the next 2-4 weeks
Are there treatments for Genital herpes?
Currently there is no cure but your doctor can prescribe antiviral medication to clear up painful sores. If you think you have genital herpes see your family doctor, adolescent doctor, gynecologists or health clinic for a diagnosis.
What are the problems of Genital Herpes?
Blisters, viruses can hide in the body. They reactivate themselves again and again.
How can you prevent Genital Herpes?
To prevent Genital herpes use a latex condom during sex and if you're receiving oral sex have your partner wear dental dams.
