Constructing Meaning

We had our 3rd cohort start Constructing Meaning training this week. The teachers were A. Kadyan, M. Madrid, K. Amador, J. Vickers, and L. Lara!

LCAP Goal 3 - Safety

All District departments and school sites will provide a safe and secure environment for all staff and students.

LCAP Goal 4 Community and Family Engagement

SUSD will ensure students, staff, parents, and the community are both satisfied and engaged.

PIQE (Parents Institute for Quality Education)

PIQE creates partnerships between parents, students, and educators to further students' academic achievement.


There were 100 families that showed up. 53 in Spanish and 7 in English. 35 kids took part in the child care.

Parent Workshop #2

We had over 200 parents show for the parent workshop. Parent workshop topics were presented to Dr. Peterson through ELAC, SSC, and parent group meetings. Members of the Student Support Services include Aidee Aldaco, Lorenzo Dominguez, Elena Moreno, Danelle Mercer and Keegan White. Topics at this workshop included understanding the upcoming ELPAC testing and what the components include, why GPA matters and how to read it on transcripts. Also, understanding the three levels of PBIS, the procedures for attendance, and how to use the Aeries parent portal. Future parent workshops are scheduled and parents of both grades will be invited including a Messenger invitation.

SUSD will attract, recruit, support and retain a highly effective and diverse workforce.
