RCMS Parent Weekly Newsletter
Week 9- September 23rd
First Quarter Is Winding Down
And just like that, our 1st quarter is almost over! We've seen amazing growth in academics and behavior over the first 8 weeks and I'm excited to see how our students grow in the quarters to come.
This week is very busy. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we have our benchmark tests. We are excited to see how much are students have learned this quarter. If you know your student will be absent on any of those days, they must get a pre-excused form from the office and have the teachers sign it.
Our first quarter reward is Friday morning. To be eligible, students must have no failing grades, have had no more than two TRC's, received no office discipline, and have not missed more than 5 days of school. Those students who are eligible will walk to Green Valley park for a morning of capture the flag, fishing, cornhole, and fun. Students who are not eligible will stay behind with teachers and work on assignments.
Our Fall Break is from September 30 through October 4. Please encourage your students to complete any missing assignments, read, and get outside during their week off.
I'm looking forward to another great quarter after the break!
