The next round of Educational Technology online course offerings is now available.
This group of courses focuses on enhancing student projects using technology in the classroom.
These tools are great ways to enhance the projects your students already do or teach you new ways to create excellent new assignments that your students will love.

All courses are facilitated in itslearning.com, and you will be able to access them at your leisure.
Each course you take (and pass) will earn you three incentive points that you can “spend” on technology tools.
These courses will be open until Friday, April 6th.

Media literacy is becoming an ever important skill for students today. NeweumED offers educators and students tools and materials to create authentic connections to everyday lives and struggles. In this course, you will learn about how to utilize NewseumED and how to weave the primary source documents and artifacts into classroom projects.

Padlet is somewhere between a doc and a full-fledged website builder, Padlet empowers everyone to make the content they want, whether it's a quick bulletin board, a blog, or a portfolio. It is a great way to have interaction between students in your class as well as great way for students to create collaborative projects.

Piktochart is a web-based infographic application which allows users without intensive experience as graphic designers to easily create professional-grade infographics using themed templates. An important feature of Piktochart is its HTML Publishing capability, which generates infographics that are viewable online with multiple clickable elements for users. Digital portfolios provide an effective way to present information not only through text, but through a variety of multimedia formats. In this course, participants will examine the use of digital portfolios in the classroom. Participants will learn to use Seesaw to create digital portfolios.

Screencast-O-Matic is a quick and easy way to record a demonstration video and share it with fellow staff and students. You can record and narrate anything that appears on your screen, with or without video from your webcam, and save the finished product or upload it directly to YouTube or Screencast-O-Matic’s website.

VoiceThread is a presentation tool that allows students and teachers to interact with a presentation using text, voice, or even video comments. It allows you to input PowerPoint presentations, Word documents, PDF’s, images, and almost any other file that you would need in a presentation. Basically, it is a great way to enhance the typical PowerPoint presentation that students are used to creating.
