Manitou Springs High School

Mustang News - October 22, 2021

From The Principal...

We are so pleased to see that many parents and guardians participated in virtual Parent/Teacher Conferences with our staff members over the past couple of days. It is extremely beneficial for students, families, and teachers to maintain an open door of communication as a support to school success.

It was a big week for seniors at Manitou Springs High School as many students took advantage of Colorado Free Application Day. From Colorado State University, to The School of Mines, to Colorado Mesa University, we heard students sharing their excitement as they applied to some of their top choices within the state.

We continued to celebrate student success in the arts and extracurricular activities this week. We were finally able to have a live and in person choir performance, and it was amazing to see our kids back on the stage singing for family, friends, and community. The MSHS fall production of Our Town is coming up soon, and we look forward to supporting our theater department.

Have a wonderful weekend Mustangs!

On October 14 & 15, Student Council students traveled to Palisade High School to attend the CHSAA Student Leadership Fall Summit. They connected with students from the western slope, presented a workshop, and learned new ideas to improve our own StuCo practices. These opportunities are so important for their growth as student leaders and the impact they have on our school community.
