Samone Graham
Assistant Principal-7th Grade
About Me
This is my first year at Mooresville Middle School. I am excited to join the RED IMP family. It is my honor to serve as the 7th-grade assistant principal and the admin liaison for beginning teachers, new teachers to the district, and Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). I have been in the Mooresville Graded School district for 14 years. I began my educational career in 2006 as a Science Teacher. I received my Bachelor's Degree from Winston Salem State University in Biology and Chemistry and completed a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in School Administration. I joined the administrative team at Mooresville High School in 2018. I was the MGSD Teacher of the Year for the 2017-18 school year. I then became a top-nine finalist out of 99,000 teachers vying for NC Teacher of the Year. I am the 2018 Burroughs Wellcome Fund Southwest Regional Teacher of the Year. In addition to those honors, I was named the 2020 Mooresville Graded School District's Assistant Principal of the Year.
I live in Mooresville with my husband and two children. In my free time, I love to spend time with family, go on hikes, attend sporting events, read, and volunteer in the community.
