Paragraph Formats of Business Documents
There are 3 different paragraph formats: block style, indented and hanging indent.
Block style is when there is no line indented and all lines of text are aligned with the left margin. It's commonly used when formatting business letters and memos.
Indented is when the first line of each paragraph is indented. Used commonly for formatting reports.
Hanging indent is when all lines are indented except the first line of text and the first line is flushed with the left margin. Most commonly used for citing bibliography sources.
