Update from the School Nurse
Thank you VERY much to all families that have responded to my email requests for vaccination updates/records. It is a state requirement that all students attending every school be up to date on immunizations, throughout their entire education. Indiana also requires that schools keep records of student vaccinations. I review records year round, to make sure that we remain prepared for an audit, should that happen. Even more importantly, I want our students to remain healthy especially when it comes to a disease that is preventable via immunizations. The immunizations that we have today expose our children to far less toxins than we were exposed to as children, because the science of developing vaccines has improved greatly. If interested, this is an interesting article to read:
http://thescientificparent.org/vaccines-101-too-much-too-soon/
Again, thank you for getting records to me as soon as your child is updated with any vaccine.
Speaking of vaccines…our flu vaccine clinics are coming soon! This year, we will be hosting 2 flu shot clinics:
- Sept. 27 4:00-6:00 pm and
- Oct. 11 4:00-6:00 pm
Both of these will be held in the school clinic, just around the corner from the main office. Meijer Pharmacy will be administering the vaccines and they do accept most health insurance policies.
Please call me if you would like me to add your name to our sign-up list, or feel free to stop by the wall outside the clinic and sign up.
Blessings to you all!

Have your kids outgrown their Legos? Donate them to TPCA!
The Media Center is looking for donations of gently used Legos, K'nex, Erector sets, magnetic building toys, or marble mazes. Other needs include lots of colorful duct tape and rubber bands. Please contact Beth Herr at bherr@tpcs.org if you have any items that you might be willing to donate!

As a reminder, the store is housed in our concession area by the gym. The short sleeve shirts are $15 and long sleeve are $20. More products will be added over time. SCRIP- Shop to Earn Cash Back for Tuition!
With scrip fundraising, families can easily earn cash for tuition for their own children (80%) and for the school (20%) while they shop.
Scrip is simple. Order gift cards, e-cards, reloadable or printable certificates for many places at which you shop, dine and play already and a percentage of what you spend comes right back to you as a credit on your student account. Simply use scrip gift cards for everyday purchases, and earn a rebate on each one at no additional cost.
Scrip is easy. Families purchase online – no checks, no submitting order forms to the school -- and your cards/certificates are available either instantly for print, redemption on your Smartphone, or as reloadable gift cards. For more information, visit the Scrip website at www.shopwithscrip.com.
To sign up you will need our Traders Point enrollment code. However, we are unable to publicly publish our enrollment code for security reasons. Please email tpcascrip@gmail.com for this code and further directions.
We pray this will be a blessing to all of our Traders Point families!
Announcing FAN FRIDAYS
Hey all you Traders Point sports fans! We’ve heard from many families and staff that they would like to see our school community unite on a regular basis to show our school spirit and support or athletic teams. We heard you! So we would like to announce that each week we will have FAN FRIDAY. Everyone is invited to wear your favorite TPCS spirit wear to school or out and about – Golden Eagles or Knights. Then you’ll already be dressed for the Knights football game and you can get a food truck dinner at our field before the game. Win win!
Remember that Golden Eagles and Knights spirit wear will be sold by our Athletic Boosters at upcoming school events, at the football games and also in the TPCS Spirit Store (which is run by our HS Intro to Business Class in the concession stand by our gym). Everyone plan to show your Traders Point Pride on Fan Fridays!
