BREWS BROTHERS COFFEE FUND RAISER
The ongoing Brews Brothers Coffee fund raiser orders/monies due next tuesday, 3/28./ We anticipate an approximate 2 week turn around for delivery.
BAND PARENT MEETING
The next general band parent assocation meeting will be next Tuesday, 3/28 beginning at 6:30pm in the band room.
AZ MERIT TESTING
As you know, next week the District will be administering the AZ Merit testing. Buena will be on a special schedule... my understanding is... 1st hour will begin on Mon, Tues, Wed at approx 9:30 and on Friday at 10:20. Seniors have a class meeting regarding graduation on Wed morning at 0720 in the PAC,
Due to this schedule - we will only have zero hour on Thursday next week. I will be in the band room at my normal time. But it is ridiculous to try and have zero hour then for those who are not taking the test to have to leave campus... and then for those taking the test to be in that testing mode. So we'll be smart and just leave it at on those testing days zero hour will be personal reflection time... either at home or here at Buena :)

HAWAII Update
Good news on the trip... the District WILL ALLOW me to collect deposit monies from incoming 8th graders. WITH THE UNDERSTANDING that those funds will be deposited into the high school's gifts/donations account (earmarked for that student) AND should they pullout a cash refund IS NOT an option. In that event we would put a credit into student CHARMS (our band's online management system). Deposits with confirmation forms should be brought to Buena's student services or to Dr. Chun at Buena.
Another piece of important information is that we might be adjusting the schedule for a Saturday afternoon/Sunday departure. We've learned that there are some significant conflicts ... ie: all state band/choir auditions and Academic Decathlon state competition). I made a call to our travel person and she will inform us of the price differentials when seats are opened for booking.
As I mentioned in my earlier news bulletins, I am ready to collect $250 deposit/traveler and commitment forms. CHARMS profit CAN be used for the deposit. Below is the link for the hawaii info previously sent.

OUTBACK DINNER DINE OUT 4/25
Each semester the Band Parent Association sponsors a dine out meal fund raiser. These funds go toward the MANY projects and needs the band parent organization provides for the band (ie: uniform parts/repair, meals, transportation, festival/competition registration fees, scholarships). Each student currently in a band class has been provided an envelope with 5 tickets to try and sell. Tickets are $15 with $8 coming back to the organization - it's a great opportunity (along with a great meal!)
Please consider helping the band parents with this event. If you cannot participate please send the tickets back in to the band office.
