From the Principal's Desk
New year. New you.
You hear this a lot, but it isn’t true. It’s a new year, but it’s the old you. You’ve got what you’ve got. And you’ve got to take what you’ve got and MAKE IT into what you want to be. How do we do this? Discipline. Discipline gets a bad rap because oftentimes it’s associated with the word punishment. Perhaps it would be better to view discipline as something we do for ourselves, then we can begin to separate it from punishment.
If you lack discipline there are ways to increase it and have a higher success rate as you attempt to make lasting change. One of the best books on this topic is Atomic Habits by James Clear. HERE is a summary of his work from Atomic Habits. If you’re looking to make changes, please consider checking out the summary!
Have a great weekend everyone!
