Car Rider Dismissal Reminders

  • When picking up your child as a car rider, please pull into the parking spots in the middle of the parking lot. In order to ensure safety for all, please make sure you are parked in a spot.
  • You MUST park in a spot in the upper parking lot. You MAY NOT park in the grass or in the lower parking lot designated for staff.
  • Thank you in advance for your patience with this system, as our primary goal is student safety.

Report Cards

Please be sure to access your child's report card. Report cards were available through the Parent Portal beginning on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. You can access the Parent Portal by clicking on the "Parents" tab on the Lopatcong School District website. Please contact the main office if you have any trouble accessing your child's report card.

Valentine's Day

It's hard to believe Valentine's Day is almost here! We know this is an exciting time for your children and they may bring Valentine's Day cards to exchange with their classmates and teachers on Friday, February 12, 2016. If your child is bringing in Valentine's Day cards, please bring in one for every child in the class. We are encouraging teachers to have an extended snack time to allow for children to be able to distribute and read their cards. Please make sure that there is no candy or snacks attached to the Valentine's Day cards that are sent to school.

PTA Sweetheart Dance

The PTA Sweetheart Dance will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 7:00pm-9:00pm at the Lopatcong Elementary School. It is open to students in preschool through fifth grade. Students must be accompanied by a parent. Parents must stay and supervise students for the duration of the dance. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. We hope to see you there!

Guidance Counselor

Mrs. Marianne Burd, the elementary school counselor, will be retiring. Her last day is Monday, February 29th. We wish her well in her retirement and will miss her very much at the elementary school.

Mrs. Stacy Conner, the school counselor at the middle school, will also be working with the students at the elementary school for the remainder of the school year. She will begin working with Mrs. Burd, the other staff members, and students this week to ensure a smooth transition. The Child Study Team members will also be working with students as needed. More information is included in a letter from me in the virtual backpack.
