PURSUE PERFECTION...ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE
Week In Review
Homecoming is THIS Week!
DANCE DUTY
Attire: Homecoming is semi-formal for the kids so we prefer the same for teachers.
Duties:
Tickets-Accept money and give tickets for students who are purchasing at the door. Principals will be nearby if you have any questions.
Dance floor-We'll ask that students abide by the "save room for your Momma" rule and not get too close. Stepping close to groups that form a circle to keep an eye out for safe dancing is OK.
Refreshments-Help with replenishing snacks that empty from the table quickly. Also, sweep the room periodically to help with trash and clean up.
Clean Up Crew-Dispose of all things that are not on the "SAVE THIS ITEM" list (see Mishler with questions).
If something happens right before the dance and you are unable to make it to your duty, text Mishler at 214-288-7521 and try to have someone cover it for you.
Hypnotize the Hornets!
Remember to encourage your Advocate class to dress up in tie-dye/70's on TUESDAY!
Also, Cougar Cup points will be awarded for teams that dress up (and "Instagram" it!).
October 15: Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors
Freshmen will take a practice English I EOC and partake in a bullying discussion provided by our counselors. The 9th grade test is not being taken for a grade so no SPED/504 accommodations will be necessary.
The bell schedule for this day is below. Please make note of the change to combine C and D lunch.
October 15: Senior Class
Seniors will enjoy their Senior Day at Camp Carolina Creek. The informational flyer is below to reference. See Mrs. Parkerson with questions.
Fire Drill Thursday-3rd period
We will use the new teacher name cards/signs for the October drill and will make arrangements to have specific locations designated outside if necessary for future drills.
Teachers who have 3rd period conference may receive a notification to help in the stairwells during our drill. If you have questions or concerns about this, please email Mishler.

NO Leadership Team meeting this week.
TEACHERS OF JUNIORS: If a junior is planning to take dual credit courses next year (English 4, Government, and/or Economics), they need to take the SAT or ACT and meet Blinn's qualifying scores by June 12. The students will need to send their scores to Blinn.
Remember to show the daily announcements during Advocate. If you would like an announcement to be posted, send Randi Costenbader an email with the announcement written exactly as you want it to appear on the screen with the dates it should run. Please submit your request at least 24 hours in advance.
