Yearbook information

The most recent update we have received from the company about the yearbooks was that they will be here this upcoming week. As soon as we receive them, we will send home notification that they are here. Again, they are $17. All monies need to be sent in to the teachers for any books kept once they are received. If you choose not to keep the book, simply return the book to the teacher. If you would like to order additional books, there will be more information after the initial books go home.

Rising 6th graders attending Trexler

5th graders who wish to be enrolled in band or orchestra at Trexler next fall need to attend a registration meeting at Trexler in the cafeteria on Thursday, May 19th, at either 4p.m. or 7p.m.

RED DAY - NEHS fundraiser to benefit our STES family who lost thier home in the recent fire!

May 27th will be our final NEHS dress up day of the year....we will be wearing RED as a community for any donations of a $1.

On the monthly calendar, it is listed as a neon day....after a discussion with our young Patriot, he wanted it to be a red day because it was his favorite color! Sooooo......layer on the red to show our community support!!

Smoothie King update - for sale on Field Day - May 20th in the afternoon following lunches

We had sent out an update earlier today updating the order availability to state that only strawberry is available. Each cup is only $2. All orders are due to the teachers by Tuesday, May 17th. Field Day is May 20th.

Another piece of information that we wanted to share was that Smoothie King also serves items that contains nuts. It is not possible to guarantee that our smoothies will not be prepared in blenders that were in contact with peanut products. Teachers will be in contact with the parents of students with known peanut allergies to confirm if you purchase is still desired. If you have any questions, please contact the school. We simply want to ensure the safety of our children.

Manilla Enveloples that came home with students.....EOG letters for our 3rd through 5th grade students

We would like for your child to have a productive and supportive EOG session. So, we are asking that you, or anyone that you would like, write a letter of encouragement to your child for each day of assessments. We sent home the appropriate number of envelopes for you to use to conceal your notes. Please write your child’s name on the outside of each envelope and return them, to your child’s teacher, by May 20th. Your child’s teacher will then save the notes and place the appropriate one on his/her desk. Our goal is to keep the notes a surprise so that your child has an extra boost of support each day. Thank you for your help.

EOG proctors - WE ARE GOOD TO GO!!

Mrs. Helt cannot say thank you enough for the outpouring of support from the Stateside community yet again. She will be sending home notices to those who have contacted her directly or Mrs. Merritt as to which days your help will be needed and where. On that notice, she will include information about the proctor training that is needed...super quick training.
