1. How many years have you been involved with B-C-S Schools?
- I have been with the Benton-Carroll-Salem School District for a little over 10 years.
2. What is your favorite part about being Assistant Secretary at the middle school?
- I absolutely love my job! I love having a connection to many different families in our community!
3. Do you have a favorite lunch from the cafeteria?
- My favorite school lunch is the turkey and gravy meal they serve right before Thanksgiving.
4. What is a typical day like for you?
- My day consists of answering phones, verifying attendance, and welcoming visitors to our building.
5. What is your favorite season of the year?
- Fall has always been my favorite season because of the multitude of colors and the cool crisp air!
REMINDER! Oak Harbor High School Plans Open House for New Security Vestibule and The HUB
Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District would like to invite the community to an Open House on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 5:00-6:30 pm, prior to the football game, to view the changes to OHHS. These changes include the new Security Vestibule and the The HUB (newly renovated and formerly known as the Media Center).Cookies and punch will be provided and staff will be on hand to answer any questions.

Second Annual Ottawa County Career Showcase is scheduled for October 6th
Mark your calendar for the second annual Ottawa County Career Showcase! The event will be held on Friday, October 6th at the Gary Anderson CMP Competition Center from 9 AM to 2 PM and will bring together 9th graders from throughout Ottawa County to showcase local employers and career opportunities. The event is sponsored by the Ottawa County Business Advisory Council and is part of an ongoing 4-county initiative to increase communication and partnership between schools and businesses. Students will learn about career opportunities right here where they live, play, and learn!

The school district was founded on July 1, 1967 due to the consolidation of the Benton Township School District, the Carroll Township School District, and the Salem-Oak Harbor School District.Benton-Carroll-Salem Local School District, home of the Oak Harbor Rockets, serves 1700 students on three campuses: R.C. Waters Elementary School (Grades K--3), Oak Harbor Middle School (Grades 4--7), and Oak Harbor High School (Grades 8--12).
