Springdale Schools features annual faculty meeting

The Wizard of Oz-themed event inspired and informed staff as they prepare to welcome students back to the classroom on Aug. 14 for the 2023-24 school year.
The event began with a dance performance by Don Tyson School of Innovation student Elle High and featured performances by the Superintendent's Band and Superintendent's Choir, which were comprised of district students and educators.
The event featured remarks from Dr. Jared Cleveland, Springdale Pubic Schools superintendent; Randy Hutchinson, Springdale School Board president; Rep. Steve Womack; and Mike Rogers, Arkansas chief workforce officer; as well as video comments by Jacob Oliva, secretary for Arkansas Department of Education.
Student participants in the event included Jamie Aguilar, Springdale High School; Dara Cuenca, Don Tyson School of Innovation; and Mason Flynt, Har-Ber High School. Har-Ber High School and Springdale High School Future Farmers of America students presented the colors and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
