Overview
The Pryor Innovation Center is located at the Rogers State University satellite campus in Pryor, located within the MidAmerica Industrial Park. Pryor students can enroll in career focused course at the Innovation Center as well as taking concurrent courses at Rogers State University. The Pryor High School Innovation Center offers several career pathways for students:
Nicholas Rowland - Certified Drone Pilot
CONGRATULATIONS! Nicholas Rowland earnd his FAA Part 107 Certificate this past week. It was his first attempt to take the test certifying him as a Drone Pilot. Nicholas is a junior in the Pryor Aviation Program and his goal is to attend Oklahoma State University's Aviaiton & Aeronuatics program after graduation.
In order to fly your drone under the FAA's Small UAS Rule (Part 107), you must obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA. This certificate demonstrates that you understand the regulations, operating requirements, and procedures for safely flying drones.
To become a drone pilot you must:

Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English
Be in physical and mental condition to safely fly a drone
Pass the initial aeronautical knowledge exam: "Unmanned Aircraft General - Small (UAG)"

MidAmerica Cup
This past week our Innovation Center students and students from other Mayes County schools were introduced to the MAIP Cup Entrepreneurship Event, Sponsored by MidAmerica Industrial Park and i2E, Inc.
MidAmerica has created this event based on the i2E Love’s Cup and tailored for high school students. The Love’s Entrepreneur’s Cup is a statewide collegiate business plan competition that simulates the real world process of researching a market, writing a business plan and making a presentation to potential investors.
The Innovation Center is excited to have four teams competing in this event.
