Holiday Food Drive

Thank you for the overwhelming support for our Society of St Stephen Food Drive. Our BBE community donated over 4,000 items for those in need! Congratulations to 3rd grade for collecting over 1,300 items and winning a pizza party!

School Pictures

We expect school picture packages to be delivered during the week that we return from the Thanksgiving Break! All students who did not order pictures will receive a "second chance" order form, along with a photo proof. In order to give parents time to decide if they would like a retake, we have moved the picture retake day from December 1 to Wednesday, Dec 15, 8:30-10:30 am.

Thanksgiving Pies for Teachers and Staff

Thank you for helping show our teachers and staff how much they are loved and appreciated! All BBE staff would like to send a big THANK YOU for helping to make our Thanksgiving holiday special!

Join BBE PTA on Wednesday, December 1st, after school, at the Bear Branch Gazebo for hot cocoa, cookies and story time to kick off the holidays. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there! Families will be able to sign up in advance for a 5 minute photo session with Santa, between 2:30 - 5:00 pm. Donations are welcome on site and will benefit the staff and students of BBE. Please go to to schedule.

5th Grade Parents: As our students prepare to take the stage, please be on the lookout for an email from Mrs. Barnes addressing costuming and makeup. We are also in need of volunteers to help behind the curtain with costumes and props. Please sign up at to help support this wonderful BBE Christmas tradition.

Santa's Workshop December 8 - 10

The PTA will host Santa's Workshop from Wednesday - Friday, Dec 8-10 on the stage in the cafeteria. Students will be assigned a day to shop independently for holiday gifts for family, friends, teachers and pets. All purchases are tax-free and pre-wrapped. Do you want to help students pick out gifts? A link for volunteer signups will be available soon!

Winter Parties

BBE will celebrate the season with traditional Winter Parties for all grades on Friday, Dec 17, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, then Early Release at noon! Please watch for an email from the teachers and Homeroom PTA Rep. with more information coming soon!

Kindergarten & First Grade Science Lab Volunteers Needed!

Be a science hero and volunteer in your student's classroom! Kindergarten and First Grade science lab is a great opportunity for you to be in your child's classroom and explore science together. You don't have to be a scientist to volunteer. All of the information needed for the labs is provided. We need your help to make the labs successful - plenty of volunteers help the labs run smoothly. Go to to volunteer, and be sure to submit your Humble ISD volunteer application!

PTA Volunteer Guidelines

Humble ISD VOLUNTEERS make a significant contribution to the education of children. We LOVE our BBE volunteers!

For the safety of our students and staff, all Humble ISD volunteers need to complete a short online application prior to volunteering on a campus.

Thank you for everything you do for our school!

Empty Stocking Toy Drive

Help Humble ISD students by donating to HAAM’s Empty Stocking Seasons of Sharing Drive

Humble ISD is partnering with Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM) to help make the holidays brighter for students in need this holiday season through the Empty Stocking Seasons of Sharing Drive.

Monetary donations of any amount will be used to purchase gift cards that will be distributed to the families of Humble ISD students who have applied for assistance. To date, over 500 district families have been identified for assistance.

“HAAM is proud to partner with Humble ISD to help families when they need us the most,'' Millie Garrison, HAAM Executive Director, said.

You can contribute financially through Friday, Dec. 10, by making an online donation:

Ensuring that our students have a happy holiday season gives them the ability to focus on their classwork. “It spares our students the added stress of wondering if they’ll have gifts to open or even food on the table for a holiday dinner,” Matt Smith, Coordinator of Elementary Counseling and Behavioral Services for Humble ISD, said.
