Canvas Support

You've no doubt been exploring all of the features in Canvas and have some questions. We are a Tier One Canvas school, which means that YOU have access to their support 24X7.

Here is how it works:

Logged in to Canvas Go to Help-Report a Problem. Reporting your problem will open a support ticket and you'll be notified via email about the case.

You can also email their support center support@instructure.com.

When to Use Student Gmail Accounts

The student Gmail accounts are now active! These are the @s.rs-wolves.com accounts that we used in our previous LMS. These are not tied to Canvas, and there is no way to email students directly in Canvas. The reason you might want to communicate with students via their Gmail is if you've got Google Drive Presentations, Sheets, or Forms that you've shared or ones that you want students to use for collaboration.

For all other communication and collaboration with students please use Canvas. You can create a course for your club or sport team, go into the settings on the course, then allow for self-enrollment. Students can then sign up for your course with a URL that you provide them. Use the student Gmail to send out that URL, but keep your communication to a minimum via the Gmail.
