Bobcat of the Week

Congratulations to Gabby for being selected as our bobcat of the week! Gabby was selected for her initiative in the Professional Development committee and for bringing in loads of people at Get the Scoop!

Paw Props this week awarded to everyone who helped clean up after GTS. Thanks guys!

Justin Mosely (our "You Rock" winner from last week) passed the rock onto Allison this week for her AWESOME SAB elevator pitch and for all her hard work on Get the Scoop!

Homecoming Parade Mini-Committee

Do you love SAB? Are you a proud Bobcat? Do you have an unhealthy obsession for all things homecoming? If you answered yes to any of the above questions- THIS is the project for you!


3 lucky members will be selected for the Homecoming parade mini-committee. These members will be responsible for establishing SAB's presence in the homecoming parade and making sure our float is awesome! Members will meet once a week until the homecoming parade and will receive 3 points incentive for their participation.

Open House will be held at Konneker Alumni Center September 8 and 9 from 5:30 to 7:30. This event is mandatory for all members.

Kate and Communications

We still have 2 black SAB Cardigans size small for sale for $20, if you're interested contact Hannah for payment arrangements, and Kate for your cardigan. They will no longer be at full board meetings. Please make arrangements if you would like to purchase one.


MANDATORY Professional Dress Picture Day Extravaganza: Group pictures held at KAC on September 13, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Dress is Business Professional. Also, please make sure you sign up for an individual headshot.


BABY Buttons: Huge thank you the Katrina and the OUAA. They will be purchasing all members these super cute baby buttons to give out as swag and for all members to have for promotion of our organization! (see the image above)

Hannah and Finance

Dues are now being accepted and will be DUE next Sunday, September 13. If you pay your dues on time you will get an entry into a raffle to have one semester dues free!

You can pay cash or check. Make checks payable to Student Alumni Board.


Financial Tip: Start a ROTH IRA Account NOW. The compound interest that develops over time will gain you tons of money towards retirement!

Paint and Sip Registration

The event will be help Saturday Sept 26 from 1-3:30 pm. SAB members will take a motor pool vehicle to the event held in Centerville, Ohio. Registration Costs will be covered by the OUAA. $10 of each registration will go towards the Dayton OUAA Chapter's Scholarship Fund. Apply here. Applications will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Let's show some bobcat love!


Alumni Committee Project Manager Applications are due by next Sunday, September 13 at midnight. Apply here.


Our 1st bobcat to bobcat panel will be held Thursday, October 1 in the Bobcat Student Lounge from 6:30 to 8:30. Mark your calendars!

More about our Professional Dress Picture Day head shots will be taken from 1:00 to 4:00 on September 13 at KAC. This is mandatory, so please sign up for a time slot here. For a more polished look we request that you wear the same outfit in your headshot as you plan to wear to the professional dress group picture that will be taken at 4:00.


If your interested in volunteering at the Career Fair September 22 and 23 from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm please sign up here. Various Shifts are available. This is a point opportunity and a great way to meet employer!

Amanda and Philanthropy

If you're interested in going with Amanda to help box food at the Athens County Food Pantry sign up here. She will be going in groups of 6 people.


Pack the Pantry will take place October 5-8 in the Baker 3rd floor Atrium. Start saving extra meal swipes if you have them. The drive will be focusing on canned food only.


Really Love Philanthropy? An additional Philanthropy opportunity (not a point op) is to participate in the OU Women's Center Mentorship Program! Applications are due by October 2. Contact Amanda or Emily Swanson for more information.

Emily and Internal Activities

Sophomore and Junior PM applications due by Sept 11. Each Project Manager will receive a small budget to coordinate events for their class. This is a semesterly commitment. Apply here.

End of Meeting Announcements

Ally Kuehn: Improv auditions Tuesday and Wednesday in Bentley at 8:00 pm.

Alex Leaman: GIVE offers volunteer abroad opportunities that are super cool! Trips last 2 weeks at a time and the organization offers opportunities all across the globe! You can even get academic credit (WHOAH).

Megan Newton: Megan, Emma, and Kendra (our in-house OUAA interns) will be decorating KAC fro homecoming durring homecoming week. Let them know if you want to help out!
