Writing
Writing was used for many things. It was began to be used to keep records. later it was began to be used as literature and to keep a crop status and for letters.
Cities
Cities were obviously made for living but they could be used for many other things like trading ports, or business. It can be used for farming and where farmers can plant their crops. It can be used for many things not just for living.

Government
Most government was a monarchy. There were a lot of Pharaohs who believed they were gods or they thought they were sent by the gods to lead their people. There government created laws so people weren't crazy. If people didn't obey these laws they would be executed.
religion
priest please the gods. Many of the early rulers claimed they were gods or they were sent to earth by the gods to rule. Example the mandate of heaven. There main religion is polytheistic, this means they believe in more than one god.
painting and structure
There were many paintings in the early civilizations. They had many temples and shrines. If you look in anceint caves you can find quite a bit of anceint art and it is really cool to look at.
specialization of labor
Once people could grow their own crops this opened up a lot of job opportunities and it could get more experiences with these jobs. People became more and more important to their community. This happened because not everyone had to plant crops.
