Celebrating Dr. Seuss!

Howe Hall AIMS is celebrating Dr. Seuss for the whole month of February!! Students have received a READO sheet to fill out by reading books that fit into one of our Dr. Seuss themed categories. We have set up displays of books in the library that fit into the various categories on our READO sheet for easy student check out. Students are also allowed to read any books from home or from the public library that would fit into one of our READO squares.

Students can achieve READO by filling in five consecutive boxes (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) and bringing their sheet to the library for Mrs. Garrison to check. Five books in a row will earn students a Dr. Seuss bookmark and their name on the wall outside of the library. Filling out the ENTIRE sheet will earn students a pizza party at the end of the contest (March 2nd)!

The Dr. Seuss fun doesn't end with our READO sheet though! February 29th - March 4th we will have a Dr. Seuss themed dress up week! Click here for more information on the wacky ways we will be dressed up during his birthday week!

Our entire building will be getting involved in the craze with our very first Dr. Seuss door decorating contest. Everyone has the opportunity to decorate their door based on the theme of one of his books to win a prize! We can't wait to see some amazing door decorations honoring this incomparable author!!
