Problems Concerning Exercise and Fitness
Lack of exercise is becoming a severe problem in the United States and across the world. Some serious health conditions that arise from lack of exercise are obesity, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, colon cancer, and breast cancer. Just about 35 percent of adults in the United States have been marked obese or overweight. Also, lack of exercising is the cause of 1 out of 10 deaths. That is just as much as smoking.
Importance of Exercise
Of course eating healthy is a very important aspect of keeping yourself healthy and in shape. Exercising is just as important. That is why it was recently added to the food pyramid of health. Doctors say that people trying to lose weight or become more fit should have at least 30 minutes of exercise each day. Doing this can increase your odds of living a longer life, having healthier children, and decreasing your chances of having a life threatening illness. Exercising can also decrease your chances of depression and help students perform at a higher level in school.
