Paly Community Update
Friday February 10, 2023
Hello Viking Families!
We are excited to announce two upcoming Paly Town Hall events that will be held at Paly on March 1 and at the Boys and Girls Club in East Palo Alto on March 8. The purpose of these events is to invite our parent community into our conversations on identifying Paly’s core values. This work will be facilitated by Paly PTSA parents Dona Tversky and Kara Davis, who are members of the PTSA Wellness Committee.
We will also be joined by equity expert Enid Lee who has been working with the Paly staff for the past two years. Enid will be facilitating a conversation that will include Paly teachers, to provide our families with an overview of our equity work which has focused on increasing student voice and opportunities for all students. We will conclude our Paly Town Hall meeting with an opportunity to hear from our parent community on your experiences and potential outcomes for the future. We look forward to having you join us on either of these evening events.
Sincerely,
Brent Kline, Principal

As mentioned before, February is Course Selection Month. 9th, 10th and 11th grade students have been introduced to Course Selection in Advisory and reviewed the directions for making their choices. TAs will review student selections and meet with their students if they have any questions or concerns. If you'd like to read the step-by-step process, as well as the directions for submitting the Course Selection materials, please click on the links below:

Seniors
If seniors drop a class or change their course schedule (including moving to an online course) this semester, they’'ll need to contact each college campus that they applied to (email or U.S. Mail recommended) and notify them of those changes. If relevant, they should reference an application ID # (or the campus ID received after submitting your college app) in their message. For a template, click here.
If they have questions regarding the impact of any changes on their admission decisions, reach out to the admissions representative for Paly (google "college name admissions representative") and explain any changes you would like to make.
