PSAT
On Wednesday, October 12, 2022, Austin High School will be administering the PSAT. For this testing day, FBISD will implement an approved assessment waiver to reduce interruptions during testing at Austin High School. Please see the information below:
· School day starts at 7:30 a.m.
· All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be taking the PSAT test and should arrive to their testing classroom by 7:30 a.m.
- Students will be notified of their testing room via their school e-mail.
· All non-testers, who are classified as seniors in Skyward, should arrive by 10:30 a.m. and will report to the auditorium. Attendance will be taken and tardies will be counted.
· Students will utilize normal transportation to school as there are no additional routes this day
· No visitors will be allowed on campus on test day
· 9th and 10th graders will need to bring their own calculator, but it is not required. It must meet the College Board requirements (see link below). 11th grade students will be provided a calculator by AHS.
Per the State of Texas, all students must be in attendance at least 4 hours on each instructional day. Non-testers classified as seniors in Skyward will be allowed “late arrival” and therefore be present for official attendance-taking at the conclusion of the PSAT testing. The approved state waiver will allow our district to take official attendance at an alternate time. If any non-testing senior is not present in the auditorium by 10:30 a.m., they will be marked absent. Students who are not required to test and who do not show up can be in jeopardy of loss of credit and loss of semester exam exemption.
Students can also find study resources and the College Board calculator policy on the College Board website using the links below:

22-23 PRIMARY SEPAC PARENT REPRESENTATIVE
22-23 ALTERNATE SEPAC PARENT REPRESENTATIVE
Greetings Bulldog families,
I am excited to represent Austin High as an alternate for SEPAC. I am a speech-language pathologist by trade and I have a passion for advocating for students. I am originally from Louisiana and we moved here from Virginia in 2015. I am excited about the direction FBISD is going to support our students and I look forward to collaborating with our parents and the district.
Thanks,
LaTristaca Doucet Stephens
Grants for Special Education Students
Families of qualifying students will receive online accounts to purchase goods or services that help their student access public school and/or health related services at home or where care is provided.
SSES+ accounts begin with a $5,000 grant. Families are able to request additional funds for more expensive items through TEA. This form is only available through the SSES+ award email.
There is currently enough funding for all students who are identified as medically fragile. This funding is separate and apart from the current SSES program.
