Newsletter - Term 4 Week 1

Friday, 22nd October 2021

PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Kia ora koutou,

This week as been a great start to the term. Students have been busy both inside and outside the classrooms engaged in a wide variety of activities. Next week we have a group of senior golfers who will be competing in the Western Golf tournament. I wish the golfers all the best for their day I look forward to following their progress.

Touch

At this stage the Term 4 touch module is still going ahead. We are however, awaiting a final decision to be made within the next week as to whether this is going to happen this term. We will post out information as soon as we receive it.

Hats

This week we spoke to the children about wearing their school bucket hats when playing in the playground. It has been really good to see the number of students wearing their hats increase each day this week. Hats can be purchased at the school office for $15. Please make contact with the school office if you wish to purchase a hat.

Today the staff have spent their time looking at the new Aotearoa New Zealand Histories document and planning how this is going to be taught within our school curriculum. This will begin next year and students will be spending time looking at different parts of our nations history and what has shaped us to be the country we are today.
