Minimum wage
Emily Henry
Three interesting facts
- Minimum wages will go up in nine states on Jan. 1, 2015 because of indexed increases in their state law
- concerns include purchasing power, inflation indexing and standardized working hours.
- When the minimum wage goes up, these employers are forced to either pass costs on to consumers in the form of higher prices, or cut costs elsewhere–leading to less full-service and more customer self-service
In my opinion minimum wage shouldn't be raised because it usually is meant for the younger population and i feel that they should realize it takes a lot of effort and dedication to want more pay and to work towards a career they know they can make more money in. Its a life lesson that shows things aren't cheap and your parents cant always be there to hand you money or buy you what you want.Save don't spend.
