Born to Lead
Happy December! Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! December is such a fun and eventful time of the year. We know that December is busy and hectic for everyone. We appreciate how students are able to continue focusing and working hard all the way through until school is dismissed for the Christmas Break!
At Oregon Trail Elementary we have many paradigms (beliefs that guide our decisions). One of those paradigms is that everyone can be a Leader. That is why you may hear about your students and their leadership roles. Leadership roles occur at the school and classroom levels. School leaders use an application process to express their desire to lead in an area they desire. Only those who apply have these leadership roles. Everyone has a classroom leadership role. Class leadership roles often include roles such as door leader, line leader, electrician leader (in charge of stuff that turns on and off), greeter leader, and many others.
Part of our paradigm of leadership is that every student has greatness inside of them. At Oregon Trail Elementary part of our job is make sure your children are ready for middle school and beyond. The other part of our job is help students find their greatness or at least instill in them a belief that they are great and that they can work hard and achieve their dreams.
With Synergy,
Mr Matlock
