Our busy month continues at LVMS with many great school-wide events. This week, in addition to a spirit day, we have the Scholastic Book Fair, Flowers for Friends, and Grade 7 and 8 Semi-Formal Dances. Please see below for more information!

Flowers for Friends

January 27th - February 9th

Sponsored by the National Junior Honors Society, Flowers for Friends is a fun way our students can let each other know they are thinking of one another. Students can purchase a flower and send a brief note with it.

$1 per Flower / Note

Flowers will be sold during homeroom

(exact change suggested when purchasing)

Flowers will be delivered to recipients in Homeroom on February 10th.

7:00 - 9:00 PM

8th Grade Dance

Friday, February 11th

7:00 - 9:00 PM

Tickets: $10 per student / on sale during student lunch periods THIS week

DJ, Selfie Station, Drinks / Snacks

All students must wear a mask for the duration of the event . Only LVMS Students permitted; must attend own grade's event. Students must abide by the LVMS Code of Conduct, Dress Code, and remain at LVMS for the duration of the event.

Basketball Update:

Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Basketball teams on successful seasons! Both teams wrapped up their seasons with overall records of 5 wins and 3 losses!

Spring Sports Update

2022 Spring Season - (B/G Track, Baseball, and Softball)

  • Physicals Due Date - Friday, March 18th (FINAL DUE DATE)

-All student physicals MUST be received, reviewed, and approved by the district physician.

-Incomplete forms can not be approved and will impact your child’s ability to try-out for, or participate in, our sports teams.

-Please mark your calendars - FORMS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER THIS DATE!

  • Tryout/Practice Start dates - Monday, April 4th (anticipated)

  • End Date of Overall Season - Monday, June 6th (anticipated)

As a reminder, 6th grade students are ONLY eligible to participate

on the Spring Track & Field Teams.

Health and Safety

COVID Activity Index Level (CALI) - As of 1/29/2022 the district received notification that our region’s CALI score transitioned to High (ORANGE). At this time, the district is still closely adhering to the CDC's 1/12/2022 Recommendations.

Close Contact / Quarantine: Starting Tuesday, January 18th, both isolation and quarantine periods have been reduced to Five (5) full days. Day zero (0) is the first day of symptoms or if asymptomatic day zero is the day of the positive test. For close contacts, the date of exposure is considered day zero. UPDATED 1/14/22
