Digital Responsibility
Being a good Digital Citizen
Copyright
Copyrights are a legal right granted by the law of a country that prevents others from using your work or taking credit for it. There are exceptions though. Such as giving credit to the creator or asking for permission to use it. Fair use plays a large part in this.
Fair Use
Fair use allows people to get past copyright if they follow rules. The rules include: using only a small amount of the content, using it for News reporting, using it for Comedy/parodies, using it for criticizing or commenting, used for a nonprofit purpose, or adding new meaning and making it original.
Internet Pirates
Piracy
Piracy is the act of illegally downloading and distributing movies, music, and media in general.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is using someone else's work without permission, passing it off as your own, or not giving credit to your sources.
Digital Footprint
A digital footprint is a trail of information about you posted by either you or others. It largely affects your reputation.
Be a Good Digital Citizen
Be responsible whenever you're on the Internet. Don't make bad choices, and remember that you have an invisible audience. Make good choices online.
