Custody Cases Crossing Borders
Kia ora Whānau,
There have been some discussions about children crossing level 2 and 3 areas due to custody arrangements. This affects a few of our families.
The advice we have been given by the Ministries of Health, Education and Justice, is that caregivers are able to cross borders to pick up and deliver their children and that all children under 12 who have no symptoms are able to attend school without isolating.
If any children (regardless of where they have been) have any cold/flu like symptoms we are asking them to stay at home.
We are also asking all non-staff members (over 12yrs) who are coming on site to wear masks. This includes pick up and drop offs.
If you are dropping off or picking up children from a Level 2 region, please do not come onto school grounds. Call the office when you get here and we can bring your child/ren out to you.
If you are concerned about your child, please encourage them to wear a mask, some of our staff do every day. Evidence shows that by wearing masks and sanitising regularly we can keep everyone safe. There may come a time when everyone has to wear a mask...
Our priority is keeping all our children safe!
Cheers
