What Is PETA?
PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Ingrid Newkirk started this organization 20 years ago to make sure all animal's are treated and respected equally. She gave a voice for these animals and made sure they would have a future to look forward to. As an animal rights activist she fought for animals on an international level from pigs who were abused on their way to slaughter houses to stray dogs who were left on the streets. She had also helped with the arrest of some 'scientists' as they were doing experimental experiments on animals which was animal abuse. She had also made a law pass through Taiwan which was the no animal cruelty law. PETA has exposed horrific animal abuse laboratories especially clothing factories that made fur coats. PETA is Ingrid's organization which makes sure the animals are as happy as the humans that share the planet with them.
