Old Center Road

Home of the dusty air
Where the corn grows tall
Land of the stray cats
To go anywhere you have to hop in the car,
nowhere worth getting to is in walking distance
and friends are never near by.
When someone drives by the air
becomes a cloud of dust.
And the view in every direction is corn fields and
beyond that even more.
But there is no place that is as quiet and peaceful.
The traffic is always almost nonexistent and
there is never a long wait.
Cats are never at a short and the air is
always fresh and crisp in the morning as the
sun dances across the ground.
There is almost endless yards of green grass
to run free in and every neighbor knows
your name.
Home of the dusty air
Where the corn grows tall
Land of the stray cats
