Birthday Books for Lower School

Big picture
This year's birthday book program is going to be a little bit different in order to keep our students safe. If you'd like to purchase a book for the library in honor of your child's birthday, check our Amazon wish list FCDS Birthday Books. You can choose a book, and it will be sent directly to the library. The book will have a special sticker acknowledging your child's donation, and Mrs. Figley will take a picture of the student and book for our birthday book wall. They will be the first to check it out from the library. If you have another book in mind or do not have an Amazon account, please just let Amy Figley know, and you can work on it together. Thank you!

Digital Learning Day 2021

Tech Tip of the Month

Brainpop, BrainPop Jr. and BrainPop Espanol

Have a curious child?

BrainPop offers hundreds of animated educational videos across a wide variety of topics, all of which are accompanied by interactive quizzes, activities, and games. The content is intended for students in grades 3-12 and covers material in ELA, math, science, social studies, health, art, and technology. Have a curious child?

Login to BrainPop at home - allow students to watch videos, code with Scratch, play educational games, read more and explore all topics that they find interesting. Username is fcds and password is library. Reinforce and support digital learning, citizenship, exploration, play and natural curiosity by encouraging BrainPop!

(The library also has a subscription to BrainPop Jr. for students in PreK - 2nd grade and BrainPop Espanol for our Spanish language learners).
