Bear Buddies Kicking Off

We are so excited to share a researched based, promising practice with our students! LV Primary and Intermediate are kicking off Bear Buddies!

What is the goal of Bear Buddies?

Create opportunities for our students to benefit emotionally and academically through multi-age classroom partnerships while also building the connection between the Primary and Intermediate campuses

How will it work?

  • Each Primary homeroom will be partnered with an Intermediate homeroom

    • Kinder with 3rd grade

    • 1st grade with 4th grade

    • 2nd grade with 5th grade

  • Meet a minimum of twice a semester for 30-45 min each meeting

  • Take turns meeting on each campus- in classrooms or outdoors

What do Bear Buddies do?

Read, work in gardens, character building projects, mentoring, and more!

Over the next month, the first meeting of Bear Buddies will be happening across the campuses.

We have reserved Bear Buddy time for Kinder-2nd grade students. Our PREK students will have something really neat to look forward to!

Transportation Changes/Checking Your Child Out Early

2:30 pm

If you must change how your child regularly goes home, please call the front office at (830) 779-6600 by 2:30 pm in order for the change to be made. Do not email transportation changes to the teacher as messages may not be seen.

2:45 pm

We understand that there are medical, personal, and even special events that cause your child to be checked out early from school. However, routinely checking out your child from school should be avoided. In order for students to be dismissed safely, no early check-outs will be made after 2:45 pm.

Lost and Found

Our lost and found is located near the cafeteria. We are starting to collect lunch boxes, jackets, and water bottles. Remind your students to check the lost and found.
