Mr. Mauck's Musings
Congratulations to Merin Buck and Tina Hilgediek as they were our Studnet and Staff member of the week winners. Both are outstanding people and work hard to make JHS a better place.
FFA finished up its Toys for Tots drive and donated two large containers of new, unwrapped toys. The JHS Student Council is conducting a county-wide canned food drive to benefit the Dubois County Food Bank. They will be collecting at the basketball game on Saturday night and at IGA 11-1 on Sunday the 4th. Our JAG classes have an Angel Tree competition among the homerooms to see who can fill the most requests. It is fantastic to see the philanthropic spirit in our students.
Our winter athletic teams are in full gear. Girls' basketball is fighting hard and winning some games. The Wrestling team competed with Floyd Central on Thursday and travel to Castle on Saturday. The swimming and diving teams have won their last two meets with the Tell City relays on Saturday. Saturday is the home basketball opener vs. Loogootee. JV starts at 6 followed by the Varsity. There will be a canned food collection that evening as well.
Robotics: The call-out will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 6:30 PM in room 613 at Jasper High School. You may park on the north side of the building and enter through door #15.
Information about the Ireland St. Pat's Button contest is also included below. Have your students submit a button idea for the contest. The Dubois County Health Department is hosting a shot clinic and spreading the word about Flu vaccinations.
The Wildcat Crew (JHS Staff Spirit) organized a total steps challenge for the last 24 days. There were 36 staff members participating for a whopping total of 10,559,396 steps equalling 5279.70 miles walked.
Have a fun and safe December weekend.

packet in the library of books similar to hers if you want to know what to read
next
November’s contest is to sign a star in recognition of our
veterans and then submit a slip guessing how many books are in our library. You
can participate in honoring our veterans by stopping the library and signing a
star.
