R.E.A.D. Live is a virtual story time hosted by Library Media Services for Dallas ISD students in grades PK-2 and 3-5 to promote reading for pleasure. More information forthcoming.

Sora Sweet Reads

Designed to encourage students reading all year long. SORA is offering a collection of free and simultaneous use juvenile and young adult ebooks (and select audiobooks) from May 5 - August 20, 2021. These titles will be prominently displayed in Sora so it’s easy for students to find their next sweet read.

SYNC is a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. SYNC gives participants two thematically paired audiobooks each week. Titles are all available worldwide and change every Thursday at midnight Eastern Time during the season. The SYNC program will only work with Sora, the student reading app from OverDrive. You don’t need to be affiliated with a school to use Sora with the SYNC program.

  • Set-up code is dallastx
  • Student: Username is student's ID#, Password is the last four digits of student's ID#
