- Please read the entire manual before the day of the test so if you have any questions they can be answered beforehand.

Accommodations
- Mari and Domingo
- Students who have accommodations such as 504, Special Education, ELL must be using them routinely on all tests according to IEPs or ELL status
- These accommodations must be routinely used in order to use them on STAAR.

Testing time allowed by the district
Your students will have the following amount of time to complete the test unless they have an extended time accommodation. Mari will let you know who these students are. Please try to start testing by 8:30 so we are all testing at the same time. Bathroom will be monitored in the hallway before students come to class.
1st grade- Reading -1 hour
2nd grade-Reading-1 hour, Math- 2 hours
3rd grade- Reading and Math-2 hours
4th grade- Reading and Math-2 hours
Day of the Test
You will pick up your tests and answer documents in the CPC room starting at 7:00 AM. At that time, please check that you have an answer document for each student. If not, we will provide a blank one.
Students will be seated in the hallway and sent to the restroom before being released to class.
Students will be released to class at 7:40.
Directions should be started at 8:15.
Testing should begin at 8:30 A.M.
All teachers in testing rooms should have cell phones turned off and put away.
Small group test administrators should have students picked up by 8:10.
Record start time on board and remind students of the time in 1 hour increments.
Once all students are finished, you can turn in the answer documents with a completed verification sheet to Schuldt, Jones, Hemmer or Morales.
During Testing...Do Not:
- Use your cell phone during the testing window.
- Work on lesson plans or read material...you must monitor
- Sit at your desk or look away from your students
- Hold conversations at the opening between classrooms
- Leave the classroom without a certified teacher in your class
- Work on the computer
- Write or erase anything on a student's answer document
- Review content on the day of the test...only test strategies
School wide Procedures
- Please try to not use the door that goes out to Kinder near Mrs. Deadessis' room between 8:00 and 10:30.
- Please avoid the 3rd grade back hallway and the 4th grade main hallway between 8:00 and 10:30.
