A Note from Mrs. Kalis
We hope you have enjoyed your summer! We are excited to welcome your child(ren) to Renner! I am so excited that August is here, knowing that we will have students back in the building in a few weeks.
You likely saw the Board Highlights from the school board meeting on Thursday, July 29. If you missed it, please click here to review the announcement which includes information related to COVID-19.
For those of you returning to Renner, you already know that we take student and staff safety very seriously. We will continue to align our building practices with district guidelines, which are based upon local health department guidance. I will continue to share updates with the community as they become available.
I know that many feelings as we approach another school year during a pandemic. As a parent of three school-aged children myself, I can absolutely relate to the unknowns we continue to experience. My goal this year is to be a role model for our students and show them that whatever the situation is, we will rise up to meet the challenges and work together in a positive way.
Our theme at Renner this year is, "You Belong!" We want our students, staff and families to know that Renner is a place where they can be themselves.
Thank you for your continued support. The Renner staff and I are looking forward to the opportunity to serve our students, as well as partner with parents this school year. If you need anything before school starts or during the school year, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. My email address is: KalisS@parkhill.k12.mo.us and you can reach me by calling 816-359-5603.
Sincerely,
Sasha Kalis - Renner Principal

***Students will receive their teacher placements on August 10, after online residency verification has been completed.
Dismissal Procedures
For the safety of all our Roadrunners, communication is the key! During Back to School Night, please be sure that you communicate with your child’s teacher the details of your child’s mode of dismissal transportation. Families must establish their child as one of the following:
- Bus Rider (front of building): Your student's ID badge will designate their bus information. A sticker with their bus number will be placed on the back of the badge on the first day of school. Please confirm your child's bus number with his/her teacher.
- Car rider (east side of building): All families with car rider students will receive a car name tag to place in the front car window to assist teachers assisting with student pick-up.
- Walker or Bike Rider (east side of building)
- Adventure Club (cafeteria)
Additional Bus rider information: Bus information will be in Infinite Campus on Tuesday, August 17. Our recommendation is for you to contact First Student if you have any concerns regarding your student’s stop. First Student can be reached at 816-741-4023 or contact Kay Burnos at kay.burnos@firstgroup.com.
During the year, please notify the school office of any transportation changes prior to 2:30pm. Thank you for your assistance!
Food Services
Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Breakfast starts at 7:55AM. Menus are sent home on a monthly basis and available on the Park Hill School District Nutrition Services Website.
Students may bring their lunch from home or enjoy a school lunch from the cafeteria. School lunches are currently free for all students. This is not just for families who are in need – everyone may feel welcome to access this resource for their children.
Birthday Treats: Due to our safety guidelines, we will not be able to have food or other items brought into the school building for birthdays or other celebrations. If you are still interested in birthday treats for your students, our Food Service has options available for purchase. Click HERE for ordering information.
