Message From Mrs. Robertson
What a wonderful time of the year! It is exciting to see the joy in the faces of our students during this last week of school before winter break. We know that with the business of the season, there can be feelings of stress due to the changes in schedule and added responsibilities. I have taken time this week to meet with each classroom to talk about ways we can show kindness to those around us. Students have shared ways to show kindness at school, at home and in the community. They are planning on sharing toys with their siblings, helping with preparations for the holidays and spending time helping those less fortunate by giving their time and resources. These acts of kindness make it very evident that our community is one that puts others first! Thank you for instilling in your children the importance of caring for one another.
As I complete the finishing touches to my holiday to-do list I am reminded that the most valuable gift of the season is the gift of time. This gift is the one that provides memories that will last a lifetime. So during winter break, my wish for you is that you have the opportunity to share some special moments with your children and create memories that they will return to long after the holiday is over. I will be sharing some of my favorite holiday and winter stories on the CMES Facebook page with the first story being posted Saturday, December 21. These stories are some of my fondest memories with my children.
Please join us for some quality time tomorrow evening at our winter concert which offers us the opportunity to slow down and enjoy a little holiday cheer. The concert will begin at 7 PM in the CMES cafeteria. (Thursday, December 19)
We hope to that you can come out and enjoy the sounds of the season!
P.S. The photo shows us celebrating the season with holiday socks!
Yours in Education,
Kimberly Robertson
