Essential Questions
How may my current interests and aptitudes reflect my future career?
I feel that my current interests and aptitudes will reflect my future. My current interests for a future job have a lot to do with being a doctor. I feel like I want to go into something medical when i’m older, I have parents that are doctors and after watching and learning things that they do I really have become interested in it. My aptitudes do reflect my future career a lot, because, I said that I wanted to have a medical degree and things that I do in school and out reflect it a lot. In school my biggest interest and favorite classes are math and science, Medical careers have a lot of science and math involved in them, and I believe that those classes are my best classes in school.
What factors should I be aware of as I go through school, and prepare for my future career?
Factors that I should be aware of are my classes in school. In school there are certain classes that match up somewhere in different careers. I feel that the main classes that match up with my career are math and science, science is one of the more important classes because in that class it teaches you things about the body, how it works and other things. I believe that math will also be very important in my field because, you will have patients and you will need to prescribe medicines and charge them. Prescribing medicines is very important because you need to know the right dose or right amount of that medicine they need, you can not give them a wrong amount or you could risk hurting that patient. When treating patients, after you're done you need to charge them money for what every medical thing you helped them with, and you can not charge them more than what they should be paying, and you can not undercharge them or you would loose money.
