BMHS Homecoming Parade Route
We are getting very excited about our upcoming Homecoming Parade on October 7th! We have worked collaboratively with the City of Beloit Police Department and will release a joint news release and map to our families and community. Please see below. Based on the guidance of the City of Beloit Police Department, the parade route has been altered - this is reflected in our joint news release (Below Photo). The priority is to have our students and attendees enjoy a safe and fun homecoming parade. We appreciated the coordination of our homecoming parade with Beloit Memorial High School, the City of Beloit Police Department, our Security Office, Pupil Services, and our Marketing and Communications Department. Thank you for your continued support of our students and District.
We invite the public to come and enjoy the Beloit Memorial High School Homecoming parade scheduled for 1:35 pm Friday, October 7. In order to ensure a safe, fun and enjoyable parade for everyone the parade route has been altered this year based on guidance from the City of Beloit Police Department. The parade will begin at the corner of Middle and Fourth Street proceeding west on Middle, north on Sixth Street, east on Maple, and south on Fourth Street – returning to Beloit Memorial High School. In addition to a safer parade route, the new route does not require the lengthy closure of state highways. Suggested parking is at Wootton Park. Please arrive before 1 pm, as the Henry Avenue Bridge will be closed for the parade.

The PreACT is a paper and pencil assessment that formatively gives students a better sense about their academic skills, interests, plans, and goals as they build toward the PreACT Secure (9th and 10th grade) and the ACT (11th grade) in the Spring. Data will be used at the building level to identify areas of strength and growth to establish coherence in our instructional adjustments.

Beloit Community Health Systems Partnership
We are excited to announce that the School District of Beloit will be partnering with Beloit Community Health Systems (CHS) to provide onsite health services to our students. CHS will be based out of the High School and will see students on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please help me get the word out by including the following in your family newsletters:
Starting September 13th, the School District will expand our partnership with Beloit Community Health Systems (CHS) to provide onsite health care to students. Families should call (608) 361-0311 to set up an appointment at the High School. If they are established patients, they can schedule through their link. Parents/guardians need not be present for the appointment of a High Schooler as long as consent is signed when setting up the appointment. Intermediate and Elementary students will need to have a parent/guardian
EARLY COLLEGE CREDIT PROGRAM - START COLLEGE NOW
The Early College Credit and Start College Now Programs provide students an opportunity to take college courses and earn credits while still in high school as approved by the School District of Beloit. Tuition and textbooks are paid for by the District as long as the student passes the course. If the student fails to earn a passing grade, the tuition and textbook cost will be billed to parents.
The deadline to apply for a Spring course is OCTOBER 1st through the Early College Credit Program at a UW School and/or a Wisconsin Private College, or the Start College Now Program at a Wisconsin Technical College.
Please see the links to the applications below. ALL COURSES ARE TAUGHT ON THE COLLEGE CAMPUS OF YOUR CHOICE.
