Testing Corner


Attention: Testing Training has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 17, 2018, during your planning time.We will meet in the PLC Room. Please bring your laptop.


Attention All Teachers:


If you have not signed on to NC Educator (You did online testing last year), I am requesting that you do so by clicking the link below. Use the password that you have created for this program.


If you don't have an account yet to do online testing, I need for you to sign up for your account. When you click the link below, follow the following instruction.


  1. Click on the Link HERE
  2. On the Login Screen, click create an account
  3. Fill out the form, but you must use your scotland.k12.nc.us e-mail address.
  4. Choose a password that you can remember, as we cannot reset this password.
  5. You should be all set up. You will need this to launch your test for your students.
  6. Sign In to ensure you are all complete.


Be sure to see me if you have any questions or can not register. You should complete this task by Monday, October 15, 2018, by 2 pm. I ask that you reply back to this e-mail once you have established your account.

  • October 15-19 is National School Lunch week. Please encourage your parents to come and eat lunch with their child!

  • PTO representatives will be in the conference room each morning for the next two weeks to give out chocolate and to collect money.

  • Please remind your students to keep their chromebooks strapped inside the case. Students should NEVER be allowed to carry their chromebooks outside of the case, even when charging.

  • Open Gym Fundraiser has been cancelled for Saturday. We will reschedule for a later date.

  • SIT Mtg Oct 15th - Give concerns to Grade Level Chairs. Chair members bring data for goals.

  • ESL students resource: Downloading the Googletranslate extension to student/teacher chromebooks will help with translating documents.
  • Spring Hill will host District Art and Band Night November 15th
  • Have you reviewed safety procedures with your students (fire drill, lock down, tornado)? Be sure you review this week.
  • Planning Days are scheduled for November 5/6 for classroom and EC teachers. Mark your calendars. More information to come.
  • Tuesday October 16th, Spring Hill's track team will have their meet at the Scotland High Stadium. We will reserve a section for Spring Hill staff members. Come out and support our Spartans!!!!! Wear red and/or black!
  • Benchmarks: It is imperative that you follow all testing procedures to avoid misadministrations or testing irregularities.

  • Students that will participate in the homecoming parade (October 26) will get field trip permission slips along with a letter with details. Staff members and students will need to leave school at 2:15pm in order to arrive at the line up on time. Staff members sponsoring, be sure to communicate with students what they will wear and other details, once you receive them. What will staff wear?
  • Wed. October 31st, what profession would you want to pursue after retirement? Staff members can dress up and compete for the best costume. The winning costume will win a gift card!
  • Learning Focused / Top Ten Non-Negotiables should be fully implemented in each classroom. These are best practices and are daily expectations.
  • Certified staff, be sure to double check your observation day/time.

  • Be reminded to collect Chromebook forms/AUPs (Submit to Ms. Harris by Friday, Oct. 19th) Students are not allowed to use Chromebooks if these forms are not submitted. It is the responsibility of teachers to prevent students with red dots from taking their Chromebook home.

  • October 24 - Unity Day - Wear Orange to stamp out bullying!
