A Message From The Principal

Whoa! I think April Fools may have moved into May because it's hard to believe that we only have a few weeks left in this school year! As I write this, we have just concluded LEAP testing for grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th. I'm so proud of all of them! They worked so hard during the long testing days! Also, our Pre-k, Kg, 1st, and 2nd grade students did an amazing job at staying quiet and helping to maintain an appropriate testing environment for their upper elementary peers! Today, all students Prek-5th grade, who worked hard and helped maintain a positive testing environment will be treated to ice cream from the ICE CREAM TRUCK! The ice cream truck will visit campus this afternoon, and students will have an extra recess to enjoy the treat for all their hard work!

We are all excited for summer to begin! However, instruction is still going on, and grades are still being recorded. Please continue to ensure that your student comes to school each day. I want to thank all of you for your commitment to your child's education this entire school year and for making their attendance a priority! We only have a few weeks to go!

The first paragraph I wrote in this message is the reason IBES is so special. Seeing ALL students, ALL parents, ALL teachers and staff, whether they were directly participating or not, pull together, work together, to make sure everything went smoothly for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and teachers, was AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL to witness. And it happens again and again. Just like our announcement leaders say over our intercom each morning... We are truly ONE SCHOOL, ONE FAMILY, AND WE LOOK OUT FOR ONE ANOTHER....ALWAYS! We are ALL so blessed to be part of this BIG, BEAUTIFUL, IBES FAMILY! I love you all!

Ms. Tara
