Progressive Era

The Progressive Era is a political reform from the 1890s to 1920s. This happened in the United States, when this happened the movement main objective was to eliminate the corruption from the U.S. government. The movement was trying to find corrupt politicians who lets big companies buy them or let them do whatever they want. They also tried to eliminate child labor and let women vote during this era. Women during this era wanted to have the same rights as men which meant they also wanted the right to vote. And workers wanted higher wages and for children to stop working


Pullman Strike

The Pullman Strike started May 11,1894 and was a nationwide railroad strike and pitted the American Railway Company against the Pullman Company. On June 28 President Grover Cleveland our 22nd and 24th President created the national holiday Labor Day to celebrate the working common man. Like most revolutions this one failed. Also 30 workers died in strikes and protests
