Important Info and Dates....

From the Office:

Transportation Changes- If needing to make a transportation change for your child, please notify the office no later than 2:00pm. Our office staff needs time to take notes to classrooms and prepare for end of day dismissal.

Picking up your child early- If needing to leave early, please pick up your child before 2:45pm. It is difficult to communicate with teachers as students are transitioning at the end of day.

We know there will be emergency situations and we will work with you but we ask for your help with these items.

Thank you for your understanding and helping us make sure all students are safe and arrive at the correct destination.


Upcoming Events:

February 2nd: 100th Day of School - 8:00am - Kinder/1st grade

We will hold a parade for our Kinder and 1st grade students. We will travel outside (weather permitting) from the cafeteria to the front of the school. Parents are welcome to line up in the car line, come out and take pictures! We hope you can make it.


February 6th: College, Career, Military, and Readiness:

We would love to have your child join us in wearing college, career, or military attire in support of CCMR recognition.


February 13th: Last Day to Order Art to Remember


February 15th: Mom Event - More Info to Come

This will take place during student's lunch time

February 15th: 5th grade Students Boerne Middle School North Tour - 9:00am

Welcome Coach Kaysi Carter!

We are excited to officially announce Coach Kaysi Carter as our new PE coach. She will be joining us from Herff Elementary here in BISD where she has been serving as a 4th grade teacher. Coach Carter has worked in BISD for the past six years and is eager to meet our students! She will start in this role beginning February 21st. Welcome Coach Carter!

Dad's on Duty (Watch Dogs):

Dad's on Duty is now LIVE. This is an opportunity for dads to join us first thing in the morning, any day, and help with morning drop-off, cafeteria help, hallway patrol, back playground support, etc. This will run from 7:00-8:00am. You must have a background check completed through Boerne ISD. Once complete, simply sign-up and show up on the scheduled date at the front office. Please bring your photo ID and we will go from there. We're excited about this new opportunity.

CES Cougar Choir - Mrs. Kazenas

Mrs. Kazenas is excited to kick off our CES Cougar Choir!! Choir is opened to any 4th or 5th grade student.

The first rehearsal will be held Thursday, September 8th.

STUDENT BIRTHDAY TREATS

At Curington Elementary we love celebrating students birthdays! On the day of your child's birthday, their name will be announced on the morning announcements (weekend birthdays will be celebrated on the Friday before) and they will receive a birthday pencil! Our summer birthdays will be shared during the month of May. If you would like to add your child's name to the marquee for a special birthday announcement, please see the form below.


If you would like to bring a treat for your child's class on their birthday, please make sure all treats are store bought with a nutrition label. This is a BISD procedure which requires an FDA approved label with ingredients and allergens legibly listed.

Bus Information; Where's My Bus Stop? What time is Pick-Up/Drop-Off?

-Bus transportation is available for any BISD student to/from school as long as the student resides two miles or more from the campus.

-When registering for the 22-23 school year, families had the option of selecting whether or not transportation was needed. If you need to make a change, parents will be able to do this starting August 1st.
