FIELD DAY UPDATES
We are so excited about our Field Day this month! With recent changes to restrictions and capacity requirements for events, we are excited for the opportunity to invite more of our family members to join us on campus for our Field Day events! To reduce crowds and allow for social distancing, our Field Day will continue to be held over two days. See the schedule below. Although the number of guests per child will not be limited, we ask that all guests practice social distancing, and face masks will be encouraged during these events. We look forward to enjoying a FUN Field Day TOGETHER!

LEAP TESTING INFO & REMINDERS
Each year, students in grades 3 through high school take state tests to measure their knowledge and skills in each subject area or course and their readiness for the next level of study. The LEAP 2025 tests are just one of several indicators, in combination with report cards, teacher-made tests, and classroom work, that are used to create a complete picture of a student’s performance in school. The results from the tests may be used to help teachers identify when students need additional support or more challenging work in each subject area. This information is also used to measure how well schools and school systems are helping students achieve higher expectations.
W.T. Lewis third graders began testing on April 28th taking the paper-based test, which will end on May 4th. Beginning this Wednesday, May 5, our fourth and fifth graders will begin their computer-based test which will conclude on May 12th.
You can help your child achieve his/her best by encouraging him/her to:
Do his/her best and not stress! We want our students to feel proud of their progress and know that their best is enough! This is their time to shine!
Go to bed early and get plenty of rest.
Enjoy a healthy breakfast each morning and stay hydrated.
Be at school each day and arrive on time (7:55-8:25).

VIRTUAL TALENT SHOW
Kids Heart Challenge
Coach Huckaby wants to give a huge shout-out to all of the Heart Heroes who collected donations this year for the Kids Heart Challenge! Our goal as a school was to collect $2500 in donations and we surpassed that goal by over $1000! Together, we raised $3523.24! That is AMAZING! We have two students that tied for collecting the most donations, each collection over $500. These students are..... Sawyer Burris and Jack Rose! These two students will get to throw a pie in Coach Huckaby's face at a later date. Also, we want to recognize the homeroom that collected the most in donations and that is..... Mrs. Gray's homeroom! Her class will get an extra recess and popsicles with Coach Huckaby. We are so proud of you, Bulldogs, for making a difference!

Let's finish STRONG, Bulldogs!
