THANK YOU PARENTS!
Thank you parents for joining us at last Thursday's coffee chat with the principal. It was awesome getting to know you and learning more about your amazing kids, as well as hearing your thoughts on how we can make our school even better. Your input means a lot to us, and it's a vital part of our journey to keep improving together for the sake of our Wildcats. If you couldn't make it, no worries – we've got a slideshow below from the "Coffee with the Principal" event. Thanks for your support!
Teacher Professional Development
Our recent teacher professional development day was nothing short of awesome! The day was jam-packed with valuable insights and strategies that will undoubtedly enhance our teaching skills and, in turn, benefit our students. We delved into Artful Learning Strategies, which promise to inject creativity and engagement into our classrooms. Additionally, our exploration of PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) gave us new tools to create a positive and supportive school environment. One of the highlights was the deep dive into understanding our English Language Learners and equipping ourselves with effective strategies to support their learning journeys. As we move forward, we're excited to apply these skills and knowledge to create an even more enriching educational experience for our students.

ARTFUL LEARNING - COLLABASTRATIONS
Students in Ms. Forester's Study Skills class tried a new Artful Learning activity called Collabastrations. Students worked together to illustrate the definitions of select vocabulary words. In this case, they were words students were introduced to the past few weeks. The only catch is each student only has a little bit of time to add their own parts. With the whole class together, these words can come to life. This activity requires teamwork, collaboration, and participation, and helps enrich their knowledge of targeted material. It's also really fun!

AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE RMS PTA
COX AFFORDABLE HOME INTERNET WITH WIFI
We understand the importance of students having home internet connectivity and a reliable device. That’s why we will continue to offer Connect2Compete (C2C) at $9.95/month for families with students in K-12, and we also offer ConnectAssist, low cost ($30/month) internet for eligible households without kids. Both options offer speeds of up to 100 mbps. This ensures that households will have affordable, reliable, fast internet. Most importantly we are very excited to participate in the federal government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). You might be aware of this FCC benefit, which provides those who qualify with a $30/month broadband credit. If a family or individual qualifies for one of our low-cost internet programs, like C2C or ConnectAssist, they will likely also qualify for the ACP, which in many cases means they can receive free internet.
I am also excited to share that Cox is one of the only internet service providers also participating in the program’s device discount. If a family that signs up for ACP needs a device, they can receive a $100 credit for one. This is an amazing benefit that the government is offering to help families in need get connected!
