What is Alzheimer's Disease?

Alzheimer's Disease is a progressive brain disorder that is regrettably irreversible that slowly eats away at the memories. Early onset Alzheimer's usually happens between the age of 30 to 60, and late onset Alzheimer's usually are in people 60 years and older.

Are there treatments to Alzheimer's Disease?

One of the main drugs used to treat Alzheimer's is Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors is also called donepezil, rivastigmine and galantamine. They stop an enzyme called acetylcholinesterase from taking apart acetylcholine in the brain.

What are some symptoms of Alzheimer's?

Some symptoms are anxiety, suspiciousness, and agitation, confusion, difficulty recognizing family and friends and there are quite a bit more.

What causes Alzheimer's.

Scientist do not fully understand it yet but they believe that Alzheimer's happens when a series of pathological events happen inside the brain.
